How to apply for the upcoming school year
Current families have priority enrollment one week prior to our February Open House.
If you’re interested in Poppy Preschool for the 2026-27 school year, we encourage you to attend this year’s Open House on February 7, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Open Enrollment begins on this date. Priority enrollment for alumni, siblings, etc. (as outlined in our handbook), will take place for one week after the Open House.
After priority enrollment, applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The Poppy registrar will then contact you to let you know whether an opening is available in the class or whether you are on the waitlist. If there is an opening, they will offer you a spot.
If you choose to accept a spot in the class offered to you, you will receive an email from our online portal system, Brightwheel. At this time, you will be asked to fill out the Poppy Parent Agreement and pay the non- refundable Enrollment Fee. Only after these two things are completed will the registrar confirm your spot in the class.
Once a spot has been secured, families will be provided with the links to all the necessary paperwork, including licensing forms, family information, etc. Forms are due May 15th. Per licensing rules, children are not allowed to attend school if the forms are incomplete.
Please note, Poppy Preschool follows the Davis Joint Unified School District (DJUSD) calendar and guidelines for both class scheduling and age eligibility requirements. Link here to view the DJUSD calendar.
